For feudal elective it should be straightforward enough, as it uses de jure lines to choose the pools. I had double kingships both using tanistry once (de facto vassals instead) and it was a mess. I prefer elective monarchy, so you can have a larger demesne than primogeniture, and you can select the best member of your family to be your next playable character. This gets tricky when you have to rig multiple elections, though. Once you get a lot of vassals elective is a nightmare even on SP IMO. Tanistry is still the best though as there is no chance of you losing everything on succession. It was weird, because just before your death, your heir was still a d'Este, but I guess something changed really fast. The thing with tanistry is that your vassals will prefer to elect older members of your dynasty iirc. So you'll end up with older characters with shorter reigns. On the other hand with elective you can just choose your favorite son/nephew/grandson etc that you personally educated/bred to have good congenital traits and set them up for a long reign.
